the locust ones
gods of the belly
who eat and are never filled.
This is their rank breath
clotted with old blood.
These their teeth
that bite continually.
This is their legacy:
destruction.
This is their goal:
annihiliation
consumption.
They are the beasts
as pitiless as stones,
and they will never rest
while anything on earth survives.
